Fuller lips have been trending forever. There is no shame in wanting to jump on the bandwagon – but hold the fillers! Here is how you can create an illusion of fuller lips without breaking the bank or causing any permanent changes to your natural lips.
Step 1: Select a lip liner
Desi Perkins shows us exactly how it is done! Pick a shade that is close to your natural lip color and then draw slightly above your natural lip outline. Make sure to really accentuate your cupid’s bow as this will add definition to the overall shape of your lips. If you are looking for a new lipliner to try out, LA Color’s Auto Lipliner slides on the lips really smoothly and is also available in 12 shades.
Step 2: Choose your lipstick
Select a color that is a few shades darker than your natural lip color. We recommend that you use an angle brush to fill your lips in, and also use your lip liner as a guide to perfect the shape of your lips. This will create a defined outline of your lips, making them look larger than they actually are. Rimmel London’s The Only 1 Matte Lipstick has a great long lasting and non-drying formula if you wanted to try that!
Step 3: Apply a lipgloss
Choose a color that is significantly lighter than your lipstick shade as this will create a 3D effect. Blend this gloss to the center of your lips only as this will concentrate any light reflection only in the middle, giving an illusion of fuller lips. Nyx Cosmetic’s Glam Lipgloss Aqua Luxe has some of the shiniest lipglosses ever!
