Whether it’s for Christmas Dinner or New Year’s Eve soiree, the lovely Mina from @MinaaBeautyy shows us how to create a full-face, glam look that’s perfect for the holidays. This gorgeous, versatile look includes all the red carpet makeup classics: a red lip, a dramatic smokey eye and a bronze goddess complexion. Follow the tutorial below to get all of the step-by-step tricks.
Step 1: Prepare your skin
After filling in your eyebrows, use Maybelline’s Age Rewind Concealer to outline them. This will brighten your forehead area and make your eyebrows look more defined. Next, apply Elf Cosmetic’s Hydrating Primer all over your face before applying your foundation to ensure your makeup stays on for the rest of the day. If you have normal to oily skin, you should try out Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte Foundation.
It controls shine as well as blurs pores impeccably. Lastly, apply concealer under your eyes, on your nose bridge, forehead, chin and upper lip to brighten those areas. Don’t forget to set your foundation and concealer in place with some setting powder to prevent creasing. Mina used L.A Girl’s HD PRO Setting Powder in the Banana shade, which really helps brighten the area it is applied to. This shade works best for those with an olive skin colour and a yellow undertone. There is also a translucent shade available for all shades and designed for setting makeup.
Step 2: Define your eyes
Now, it’s time to create a dramatic smokey eye. Feel free to customize your eye look using various shades and tones that best match your complexion and/or outfit. Mina used a warm tan/brown shade her transition shade which she applied to her eye creases and eyelids. After which she applied a darker brown colour to the outer corners of her eyes, and finally completing the look with a shimmery pink colour all over her eyelids. After you are happy with how your eyeshadow is looking, don’t forget to add some false lashes as well to add some extra oomph to your face.
Step 3: Sculpt your face
Fram your face with a light, warm contour. Use the bronzer shade in Rude Cosmetic’s Undaunted Blush Palette to contour your face. Generously applying the product on to your cheekbones and jawline. Then using the same palette, add some blush tones to the apple of your cheeks. For that bronze goddess effect, now add some subtle shine to your cheekbones and under your eyebrow bones using Elf Cosmetic’s Baked Highlighter.
Pro tip: If you want to brighten the look of your eyes, add some highlight in the inner corners of your eyes as well. Finish this flawless look with Nyx Cosmetic’s Simply Red Lip Cream — your lips will look perfectly bold and creamy
